  GEF Workshop on Indigenous Peoples Policy, 2 March 2012, Washington DC

The GEF organised a 1-day workshop on the draft "GEF's Principles and Guidelines for Engagement of Indigenous Peoples in GEF Projects and Processes" on 2 March 2012 in Washington DC, USA. The meeting aimed at enhancing understanding of the Draft GEF Principles and Guidelines for Engagement of Indigenous Peoples, as well as to obtain concrete recommendations and input to improve the draft. The meeting was attended by 31 participants including members of the Indigenous Peoples Task Force to the GEF, GEF Agency focal points for indigenous peoples, UN Agencies focused on indigenous peoples issues, as well as other relevant experts. To view the participant's list, click here.
